Ahhhh...warm weather!

At least it feels like it after this awful winter. I hear that we're expecting snow on Saturday and Sunday though. A couple of days ago the girls and I spent a couple of hours outside. The girls rode bikes and I laid on a blanket in the sun.

I also spent about a half hour scooping a whole winter's dog poo (it has been months since we've even seen the lawn because of all the snow). The upside to that was that all that squatting was good excercise and I woke up with sore legs the next morning!

DD#2 and DS both have pink eye today, so we're just hanging out not doing anything. I need to get dinner in the oven--corned beef and cabbage (yum!). I went to get my croc-pot out this morning and realized that it's still at my MIL's house. I left it there when we had our Christmas party--I can't believe we haven't seen DH's parents in that long. Shame on us!

My dad sent me some really cool Easter facts today that I thought I'd share. Interesting!

EASTER is always the 1st Sunday after the 1st full moon after the Vernal (Spring) Equinox (which is March 20). This dating of Easter is based on the lunar calendar that Hebrew people used to identify passover, which is why it moves around on our Roman calendar.Based on the above, Easter can actually be only one day earlier (March 22) than it will be this year, but that is pretty rare. Here's the interesting info. This year is the earliest Easter any of us will ever see the rest of our lives! And only the most elderly of our population have ever seen it this early (95 years old or above!). And none of us have ever, or will ever, see it a day earlier! Here's the facts:

1) The next time Easter will be this early (March 23) will be the year 2228 (220 years from now). The last time it was this early was 1913 (so if you're 95 or older, you are the only ones that were around for that!).
2) The next time it will be a day earlier, March 22, will be in the year 2285 (277 years from now). The last time it was on March 22 was 1818. So, no one alive today has or will ever see it any earlier than this year!

I always wondered why easter moved around do much!! I remember 6 years ago it was really early (only because that was the year Ellie was born). Did you get the check I gave to Harrison today? If not ask him about it, it is for the card class.
