Ode to the Internet

I have loved the internet for many years. First off, I use it ALL the time to answer silly questions for myself. Like, for example, yesterday I asked "why is daylight savings time so late this year?" because the dark mornings are kicking my butt! I ended up finding out that it was actually moved to a later date starting last year to conserve energy.

Secondly, I LOVE to shop online. Once you have kids, it becomes a very convenient way to Christmas shop. I also buy a lot of their clothes online because I know when they go on sale via e-mail. Then I look up a promo code for that store to add to the sale (always do that before you buy anything on line). I still love wandering around Target when I've got some time, but online is really great--I've done tons of shopping on E-Bay.

The next reason I love the internet--digital scrapbooking. My friend Kari got me hooked on it last year and it is so much quicker and cost-efficient than the old way. I just surf around, buy digital kits (which are not very expensive), and then I can sit and scrap without the mess. Love it!

And who doesn't love e-mail?

My next internet-love to enter my life was blogging. I love it! I plan on using blurb.com to print out my blog at the end of every year. I wonder how many pages that will be? I no longer have to feel guilty about not journaling.

And my newest obsession--Facebook! Have you tried it? You aughta! I have found so many good friends from my past through Facebook and have been able to reconnect with them through their blogs. Soooo fun! I guess I'm just nosy, but I love reading about people's lives and seeing how much we have in common and what they're up to. Seeing what their kids look like is fun too.

Well, time to get the kids off to bed!

I love all that stuff too. I started to try and digital scrapbook, but I still can't get into it. Thank goodness for blogs or my family would have nothing:)

So, we saw Heather again this time. She is exactly the same. You should of seen the look on Kellie's kids face when Heather got us and started singing, "MY lIttle Buttercup". Good stuff.

I'll have to look for you on facebook. I love that too.

Hey! I love the internet too! I guess we are nerds! So, how do you find the promo code for the stuff that you buy? And thanks for letting me know about blurb.com! I had heard the blog can be printed but didn't where to get that info! Thanks!

I'm totally with you. Through my blog I've been able to find friends from previous places I've lived. It has been such a blast to catch up on old friends and get to know new ones better. Can you remember what life was like pre-internet? I can't!

I hear ya, sista! The dang internet is seriously why I have no time for TV. People ask me what my favorite shows are and I think it might be like facebook or something.

Tamara, you are funny. I've been stalking blogs and facebook all day today! I heard the Walkers owned it, I can't remember if we asked them or not. It was a way cool motel though!
